Wreathlaying ceremony with the Prime Minister of India; Ceremonial Welcome and State Lunch for the President of the French Republic

On Tuesday 18 November 2014, at the Australian War Memorial, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), attended a wreathlaying ceremony with the Prime Minister of India, the Honourable Narendra Modi, and the Prime Minister, the Honourable Tony Abbott MP.

Afterwards, at Fleet Steps, Sydney, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove attended a Ceremonial Welcome for the President of the French Republic, Mr François Hollande.

Later, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove met with the President of the French Republic.

Then, at Admiralty House, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted a State Lunch in honour of the President of the French Republic. Later, at Sydney International Airport, the Governor-General was represented at the arrival in Australia of the President of the French Republic, Mr François Hollande, by Mr Mark Fraser LVO OAM, Official Secretary to the Governor-General.

Then, at Sydney International Airport, the Governor-General was represented at the transit through Australia of the President of the Republic of Kiribati, His Excellency the Honourable Anote Tong MP, by Colonel Michael Miller RFD ADC, Honorary Aide-de-Camp.
