Yalari Graduation Ceremony; William Robinson Gallery; Queensland University of Technology; Official Opening of the 2013 Royal Queensland Show
On Friday 9 August 2013, at the Royal Military College, Canberra, the Governor-General the Honourable Quentin Bryce AC CVO, as Patron and guest of the Founding Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr Waverley Stanley, in recognition of International Day of the World’s Indigenous People, attended the 2013 Yalari Graduation Ceremony and presented certificates to graduating students.
Afterwards, at the William Robinson Gallery, Brisbane, the Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as guests of the Chancellor of the Queensland University of Technology, Mr Tim Fairfax AM, and Vice-Chancellor of the Queensland University of Technology, Professor Peter Coaldrake AO, viewed the Farmlands exhibition and met with artists, Mr William Robinson and Mrs Shirley Robinson.
Later, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce, as guest of Professor Coaldrake, visited the Cube at the Queensland University of Technology and met with software developers.
In the evening, at the Royal National Agricultural and Industrial Association of Queensland Showgrounds, Brisbane, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce, as Honorary Life Members, attended the official opening and dinner of the 2013 Royal Queensland Show, at which the Governor-General delivered the opening address.
