Investiture ceremonies at Government House

From 11-15 September, the Governor-General will preside over eight investiture ceremonies at Government House.

During these ceremonies, the Governor-General will present people who have been recognised through the Australian honours and awards system (including the Order of Australia) with the insignia of their award.

The ceremonies, which include each individual’s citation being read as they step forward to be recognised by the Governor-General, are a celebration of the contribution, achievement and service of outstanding Australians.

There is one session on Monday (1:00pm-1:45pm), two sessions on Tuesday (9:30am-10:15am and 1:00pm-1:45pm), Wednesday (9:30am-10:15am and 4:30pm-5:515pm) and Thursday (9:30am-10:15am and 1:00pm-1:45pm), and one session on Friday (9:30am-10:15am).
