Annual Report 2023-24 Amended Emissions Data
The Office has published information about greenhouse gas emissions in the annual report since 2022–23. The quality of data is expected to improve over time as emissions reporting matures.
The figures reported in the Office of the Official Secretary to the Governor-General Annual Report 2022–23 were incorrectly calculated. Per the required process for providing this corrected data as advised by the Department of Finance, corrected figures are provided below.
Emission Source | Scope 1 kg CO2-e | Scope 2 kg CO2-e | Scope 3 kg CO2-e | Total kg CO2-e |
Electricity (location-based approach) | n/a | 697,362 | 57,318 | 754,680 |
Natural Gas | 96,988 | n/a | 24,656 | 121,645 |
Fleet Vehicles | 29,246 | n/a | 7,278 | 36,524 |
Domestic Flights | - | n/a | 45,215 | 45,215 |
