Government House Open Day

Welcome to the Government House Open Day!

Government House is the Official Residence of the Governor-General.

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land and pay respect to Elders past and present.

Since a farmhouse was built on this site in the 1830's, the property has transformed and today, in addition to being a residence, tens of thousands of visitors come to Government House each year.

Events range from welcoming visiting Heads of State, to swearing-in and investiture ceremonies, to events to recognise the contribution of outstanding individuals and organisations who work hard and selflessly in our community.
