On Friday 5 May 2017, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as Patron, received the Chair of Keep Australia Beautiful, Mr David Carter.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received the Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, His Excellency Mr Thanh Nghi Luong.

Later, the Governor-General, as Patron, met with the President, Mr Lauchlan McIntosh and Executive Officer, Ms Claire Howe of the Australasian College of Roads Safety, and the President of Safer Australian Roads and Highways, Mr Peter Frazer.

In the evening, at GIO Stadium, Canberra, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as Guests of the Director of the Audi Centre Canberra, Mr Richard Rolfe OAM, attended Rugby League’s ANZAC Test match.

Earlier, the Governor-General met with students from Canterbury College, QLD, as they undertook a tour of Government House, as part of their visit to Canberra.
