On Saturday 25 March 2017, at Queens Park, Warwick, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Director of Coaching, Mr Tim Gaske, viewed a Warwick Wolves Football Development Academy training session and met with staff, volunteers, students and families. The Warwick Wolves Football Development Academy is designed to provide budding footballers with the opportunity to develop soccer skills and encourage personal development.

Afterwards, at Australian Vinegar, Stanthorpe, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Mr Ian Henderson, opened the Australian Vinegar Innovation Centre.

Later, at the Stanthorpe Civic Centre, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Mayor of the Southern Downs Regional Council, Councillor Tracey Dobie, re-opened the centre and viewed the facilities.

In the afternoon, at the Stanthorpe Regional Art Gallery, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Mayor of the Southern Downs Regional Council, Councillor Tracey Dobie, attended a civic reception.

Afterwards, at Lions Park, Stanthorpe, the Governor-General, as Patron, and Lady Cosgrove, attended a dedication of the Lions Club of Stanthorpe’s Memorial Wall. The Lions Club of Stanthorpe support the local community through fundraising and assisting with community projects.

Later, at Inglewood Hospital, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Board Member of Darling Downs Hospital and Health Board, Mrs Marie Pietsch, visited the Inglewood Multipurpose Health Service centre and met with residents and staff.

In the evening, at the Golden Age Centre, Goondiwindi, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Mayor of the Goondiwindi Regional Council, Councillor Graeme Scheu, attended a civic reception.
