On Monday 28 November 2016, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Earlier, the Governor-General received the Minister for Veterans’ Affairs, The Honourable Dan Tehan MP.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received the High Commissioner-designate to the Republic of Singapore, Mr Bruce Gosper.

Later, the Governor-General received the Ambassador to the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development, Mr Brian Pontifex.

Then, the Governor-General received Mr Robert Fergusson.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted the Scouts Australia (ACT Branch) 2016 Queen’s Scout and Baden Powell awards ceremony.

In the evening, at the Great Hall, Parliament House, the Governor-General as Patron, and Lady Cosgrove attended the 2017 New Colombo Plan Scholarships Presentation dinner.
