On Sunday 27 November 2016, at Our Lady Guardian of Plants Chaldean Catholic Church, Campbellfield, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Parish Priest of Saint George Chaldean Church, Father Maher Gurges, attended a mass service.

In the afternoon, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove received Master Declan McLean-Pauley, accompanied by his family Ms Belinda McLean, Mr Stephan Pauley and Master Jacob McLean-Pauley as part of a Canberra-based program arranged by Make A Wish Australia and the Australian Federal Police.
