On Saturday 26 November 2016, at Puckapunyal Military Area, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as Commander-in-Chief, and Lady Cosgrove attended the 4th/19th Prince of Wales Light Horse Regiment Guidon Parade, at which the Governor-General presented the new 4th/19th Prince of Wales Light Horse Regiment Guidon.

In the evening, at the Melbourne Convention Centre, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the State President, Major General David McLaughlin AO (Retd), attended the Returned and Services League Victoria centenary dinner.
