Perth and Kalgoorlie, WA

On Monday 4 July 2016, at Government House Perth, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, met with the Governor of Western Australia, Her Excellency the Honourable Kerry Sanderson AC.

Afterwards, the Governor-General, as Chancellor of the Order of Australia, invested Her Excellency the Honourable Kerry Sanderson with the insignia of the Companion of the Order of Australia.

Later, at Kalgoorlie Airport, the Governor-General as Patron, and Lady Cosgrove visited the Kalgoorlie Royal Flying Doctor Service and met with volunteers and staff.

In the evening, at Kalgoorlie Town Hall, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove attended a special meeting of the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Youth Council.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Mayor of the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder, Cr John Bowler, attended a Civic Reception.
