Non-Resident Credentials; National Child Protection Week launch; Life Education reception; Sydney Roosters v South Sydney Rabbitohs match

On Friday 4 September 2015, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received from His Excellency Mr Yahya Ngam, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.

Afterwards, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted an afternoon tea for the National Association for Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect, at which the Governor-General launched the 25th National Child Protection Week.

Later, the Governor-General as Patron, and Lady Cosgrove hosted a reception for Life Education Australia to mark the launch of the Life Education Foundation.

In the evening, at Allianz Stadium, Homebush, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove as guests of the Chairman, Sydney Roosters, Mr Nick Politis AM, attended the Sydney Roosters versus South Sydney Rabbitohs rugby league match.
