On Monday 24 August 2015, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received the Chairman, Council for the Order of Australia, Air Chief Marshal Sir Angus Houston AK AFC (Retd).

Later, the Governor-General received the Executive Director, Australian Civil-Military Centre, Dr Alan Ryan, Senior Policy Analyst, RAND Corporation, Dr John Gordon IV and Associate Policy Analyst, RAND Corporation, Mr Jason Campbell.

In the evening, at Panthers Port Macquarie, Lady Cosgrove, as Patron and guest of the National President, Country Women’s Association of Australia, Mrs Noela MacLeod, attended the 2015 National Conference at which she delivered the Patron's address.
