Credentials ceremonies; Lunch for newly accredited Heads of Mission; Northern Mallee and Loddon Murray Community Leadership Groups afternoon tea

On Wednesday 19 August 2015, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received from His Excellency Mr George Kanyamula Zulu, Letters of Commission accrediting him as the High Commissioner for the Republic of Zambia. The High Commissioner was accompanied by Mr Morgan Mwesa (First Secretary), Mr Alick Banda (First Secretary) and Mr Godfrey Mulungushi (Second Secretary). The Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove also received Mrs Alice Zulu.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received from His Excellency Mr Chuluunhuu Batlai, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of Mongolia. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Battulga Ganbat (Counsellor). The Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove also received Mrs Byambaa Losolsuren, Miss Egshiglen Chuluunhuu and Miss Ayalguun Chuluunhuu.

Later, the Governor-General received from His Excellency Mr Manuel Cacho, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Cesar Espada Sanchez (Deputy Head of Mission), Captain Pedro Ramirez Quevedo (Defence Attaché) and Ms Ana Maria Alonso Giganto (Counsellor). The Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove also received Mrs Maria Teresa Garcia De Oteyza.

Then, the Governor-General received from His Excellency Mr Raoul Lewis Patrick Cavalot, Letters of Commission accrediting him as the High Commissioner for the Republic of Mauritius. The High Commissioner was accompanied by Mr Ravindranath Sawmy (First Secretary) and Mr Rudaralingum Coopamootoo (Second Secretary).

Afterwards, the Governor-General received from His Excellency Mr Somasundaram Skandakumar, Letters of Commission accrediting him as the High Commissioner for the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. The High Commissioner was accompanied by Mrs Himalee Arunatilaka (Deputy High Commissioner), Mr Cyril Gunapala (Minister) and Mr Chandana Weerasena (Minister Counsellor).

Later, the Governor-General received from His Excellency Dr Obaid Al Hairi Salem Al Ketbi, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Abdulbaset Al Marzooqi (First Secretary) and Mr Sultan Abdulla Al Yammahi (Second Secretary).

Then, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted a lunch in honour of newly accredited Heads of Mission. Guests included: Ms Jan Adams PSM; His Excellency Mr Obaid Al Ketbi; Mr Abdulabaset Al Marzooqi; Mrs Himalee Arunatilaka; Mr Alick Banda; His Excellency Mr Chuluunhuu Batlai and Mrs Byambaa Losolsuren; His Excellency Mr Manuel Cacho and Mrs Maria Teresa Garcia De Oteyza; Mr Chris Cannan; His Excellency Mr Raoul Lewis Patrick Cavalot; Mr Cesar Espada; Mr Battulga Gunbat; Ms Katrin Kanarik; Mr Ravindranath Sawmy; His Excellency Mr Somasundaram Skandakumar; His Excellency Mr Andreas Unga and Ms Jaanika Unga; His Excellency Mr Pedro Raul Villagra Delgado; and His Excellency Mr George Kanyamula Zulu and Mrs Alice Zulu.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted an afternoon tea for the Northern Mallee and Loddon Murray Community Leadership Groups.
