National Suicide Prevention Conference; Australian Antarctic Division visit

On Monday 27 July 2015, at the Hotel Grand Chancellor Hobart, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as guest of the Chairman, Mr Murray Bleach, attended the 2015 National Suicide Prevention Conference, at which the Governor-General delivered the Diego De Leo Opening Address.

Then, in Kingston, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Director, Dr Tony Fleming visited the Australian Antarctic Division, at which the Governor-General participated in a video link to Australian personnel based at Casey Station in Antarctica.

Later, the Governor-General was represented at Defence Establishment Fairbairn at the arrival in Canberra of His Excellency Dr Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, the President of the United Republic of Tanzania and Her Excellency Mama Salma Kikwete, by Mr Mark Fraser LVO OAM, Official Secretary to the Governor-General.
