Radio 1RPH visit; Defence Special Needs Support Group afternoon tea; Opening of ‘Revealing the Rothschild Prayer Book’ exhibition; Opening night of The Australian Ballet performance of ‘Giselle’

On Thursday 21 May 2015, at Radio 1RPH, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as guest of the President, Ms Lorraine Litster, broadcast content for print handicap listeners in the Canberra – Wagga – Junee areas.

Later, at Government House, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, hosted an afternoon tea for the Defence Special Needs Support Group, at which the Governor-General recognised 21 years of support and thanked the volunteer coordinators.

In the evening, at the National Library of Australia, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Chair of the Council, Mr Ryan Stokes and the Director-General, Ms Anne-Marie Schwirtlich, attended the opening of ‘Revealing the Rothschild Prayer Book’ exhibition.

Afterwards, at Canberra Theatre, the Governor-General, as Patron of The Australian Ballet, and Lady Cosgrove, attended the opening night performance of ‘Giselle’.
