State Visit to China, Hainan Program; State Funeral Service for the late Right Honourable Malcolm Fraser AC CH

On Friday 27 March 2015, at Sanya Phoenix International Airport, Hainan, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, attended a welcome ceremony.

Afterwards, in Lao’ao Village, Hainan, the Governor-General, and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Political Commissar to the People’s Liberation Army, Major General Liu Xin, visited the Australian Gull Force Memorial, at which the Governor-General laid a wreath, and together with Lady Cosgrove, planted a tree in honour of the Australian members of Gull Force.

Earlier, at The Scots’ Church, Melbourne, the Administrator, His Excellency the Honourable Alex Chernov AC QC, and Mrs Chernov, attended the State Funeral Service for the late the Right Honourable Malcolm Fraser AC CH.
