Arrival in Australia of the President of the Republic of Nauru; Departure of the President of Ukraine

On Friday 12 December 2014, at Brisbane International Airport, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), was represented at the arrival in Australia of the President of the Republic of Nauru, His Excellency the Honourable Baron Divavesi Waqa, by Commander Peter Tedman DSM OAM ADC RAN, Honorary Aide-de-Camp.

Afterwards, at Defence Establishment Fairbairn, the Governor-General was represented at the departure from Canberra of the President of Ukraine, His Excellency Mr Petro Poroshenko, by Mr Stephen Murtagh, Deputy Official Secretary to the Governor-General.

Later, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, received the Secretary of Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet, Mr Michael Thawley AO.

In the evening, at Sydney International Airport, the Governor-General was represented at the departure from Australia of the President of Ukraine, by Commander Theodore Wynberg ADC RAN, Honorary Aide-de-Camp.
