Call by the Prime Minister; Canberra Council Save the Children Australia Reception; Dinner in honour of His Excellency Archbishop Dominique Mamberti

On Wednesday 26 November 2014, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received the Prime Minister, the Honourable Tony Abbott MP.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted a reception for the Canberra Council of Save the Children Australia.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted a dinner in honour of His Excellency Archbishop Dominique Mamberti. Guests included: His Excellency Archbishop Most Reverend Paul Richard Gallagher; Monsignor John Kallarackal; Monsignor Joseph Murphy; and Mr Peter Varghese AO and Mrs Margaret Varghese.

Earlier, at Sydney International Airport, the Governor-General was represented at the transit through Australia of the King of the Kingdom of Tonga, His Majesty King Tupou VI and Her Majesty Queen Nanasipau’u, by Commander Theodore Wynberg ADC RAN, Honorary Aide-de-Camp.
