Pink Ribbon Breakfast; Matthew Talbot Hostel; Technical Aid to the Disabled; Beacon Foundation; Launch of Project STAY

On Monday 13 October 2014, at The Westin Hotel, Sydney, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Chief Executive Officer of Cancer Australia, Professor Helen Zorbas AO, attended the Cancer Australia’s 2014 Pink Ribbon Breakfast.

Afterwards, at St Vincent de Paul’s Matthew Talbot Hostel, Woolloomooloo, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the President of St Vincent de Paul Society NSW, Mr Ray Reynolds, and the Executive Officer of the Matthew Talbot Hostel, Mr Matthew Clearly, met with volunteers and clients.

Later, at the Technical Aid to the Disabled (TAD) Disability Services Headquarters NSW, Northmead, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the President, Ms Monica Vardabasso, and the Chief Executive Officer, Mr Danny Kapustin, met with staff and clients.

Then, at Holroyd High School, Greystanes, the Governor-General, as Patron of the Beacon Foundation, and Lady Cosgrove, met with students and staff participating in the Beacon Pathways Program.

Afterwards, at the Bankstown Arts Centre, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Chief Executive Officer of St George Community Housing, Ms Nazha Saad, met with participants at the launch of ‘Project Sustaining Tenancies Around Youth’.
