Aim for the Stars Foundation morning tea; National Child Protection Week Launch; Life Education Australia’s 35th birthday dinner

On Friday 5 September 2014, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove hosted a morning tea for the Aim for the Stars Foundation.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted a reception, at which the Governor-General launched National Child Protection Week 2014.

Later, the Governor-General received the Managing Director of Tourism Australia, Mr John O’Sullivan, and the Executive General Manager of Corporate Affairs, Ms Karen Halbert.

In the evening, at the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth, the Governor-General, as Patron, and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Chief Executive Officer, Mr David Ballhausen, attended Life Education Australia’s 35th birthday dinner.

Afterwards, at Brisbane International Airport, the Governor-General was represented at the arrival in Australia of the President of the Republic of Nauru, His Excellency the Honourable Baron Divavesi Waqa MP, by Colonel Dennis Scanlan CSM RFD ADC, Honorary Aide-de-Camp.
