Singleton Red Cross brunch; Official opening of the Cessnock Police Citizens Youth Club; Variety National Bash dinner

On Sunday 17 August 2014, at the Singleton Showgrounds, New South Wales, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as Patron, and Lady Cosgrove, attended a brunch in recognition of the centenary of the Australian Red Cross and viewed the centenary exhibition.

Afterwards, in Cessnock, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Chief Executive Officer of the Police Citizens Youth Club – NSW, Mr Darren Black, attended a ceremony at which the Governor-General officially opened the Cessnock Police Citizens Youth Club.

In the evening, at the Royal Hall of Industries Pavilion, Moore Park, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Chair of Variety – Australia, Ms Nicole Haack, attended the 2014 Variety National Bash Dinner.
