Lunch for Melbourne patronages; Melbourne City Mission; Australian Rugby Union Test
On Saturday 14 June 2014, at the RACV Club, Melbourne, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove hosted a lunch for members of Melbourne based patronages. Guests included: Dr Brian Graetz and Ms Kim Webber; Mrs Sarah Hardy and Mr Peter Jopling; Dr Jennifer Johns; Mrs Therese Kelly and Mr Andrew Case; Professor Richard Larkins AO and Mrs Caroline Larkins; Mr Mike O'Meara and Mrs Margaret O'Meara; Mr Ross Pinney and Ms Jennifer Williams; Mr Greg Ross; and Mrs Anne Wilson and Mr David Wilson.
Afterwards, in North Fitzroy, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Chief Executive Officer, Melbourne City Mission, Reverend Ric Holland, visited the Compass Clubhouse and met with members.
Later, at the Precinct, North Fitzroy, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove met with staff, clients and volunteers at the Stopover Youth Refuge.
Then, in Brunswick, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove visited Hartnett House and met with participants of the ‘Siblings Support Program’.
Afterwards, at Etihad Stadium, the Governor-General, as Patron of Australian Rugby Union, and Lady Cosgrove, attended the 2nd Test match between the Wallabies and France.
