Federal Executive Council; Credentials

On Monday 17 February 2014, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General the Honourable Quentin Bryce AC CVO presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received from His Excellency Mr Abd Al-Rahim Al-Siddig Mohamed Omar, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of the Republic of the Sudan.

Later, the Governor-General received from His Excellency Mr Egidijus Meilunas, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania.

Then, the Governor-General received the High Commissioner for the United Kingdom, His Excellency Mr Paul Madden CMG.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE hosted a dinner for Air Chief Marshal Angus Houston AC AFC (Retd) and Mrs Liz Houston.
