Governor-General meets members of the Australian community living in New York

The Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce joined 220 representatives of the Australian community living in New York, including Mr Hugh Jackman and Mrs Deborra-Lee Furness, at an event at the Harvard Club.

During the event, Ms Bryce, as Chancellor of the Order of Australia, invested Ms Susan Talbot AM as a Member of the Order of Australia for her significant service to international relations, particularly through the arts.

Later, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce, as guests of Dr John Sexton, President of New York University, visited the city campus to mark the opening of the NYU Sydney campus.
