Ceremonial Welcome and State Lunch for the President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar

On Monday 18 March 2013, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO hosted a Ceremonial Welcome for the President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, His Excellency U Thein Sein.

Afterwards, the Governor-General hosted a State Lunch in honour of the President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. Later, the Governor-General met with Master Paolo Tecson and students from Our Lady of the Sacred Heart visiting Government House.

Then, at Canberra Airport, the Governor-General was represented at the departure from Canberra of the President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, by the Deputy Official Secretary to the Governor-General, Mr Mark Fraser OAM.
