Governor-General welcomes the President of the Republic of Mozambique

The Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce welcomed the President of the Republic of Mozambique, His Excellency Armando Emilio Guebuza, and Madam Maria da Luz Dai Guebuza at Government House, Canberra.

On arrival, President Guebuza received a 21-gun and national salute before being invited to inspect Australia’s Federation Guard and the Royal Military College Band, Duntroon.

The Governor-General and Mr Bryce were later joined by the President and First Lady for formal talks followed by a lunch hosted in honour of the President’s State Visit.

Ms Bryce previously met President Guebuza during her State Visit to the Republic of Mozambique in March 2009.
