Federal Executive Council; Morning tea for the 2013 National Rally for 1 & 2 Cylinder Cars and Bikes; Tree planting ceremony for the 25th Anniversary of Open Gardens Australia; Presentation of medals to members of the Royal Australian Medical Corps

On Thursday 14 March 2013, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO, presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE hosted a morning tea for participants of the 2013 National Rally for 1 & 2 Cylinder Cars and Bikes, marking the 50th Anniversary of the Veteran and Vintage Chevrolet Association of Australia.

Later, at Lanyon, the Governor-General, as guest of the ACT and Country NSW Regional Chair, Mrs Helen Stevens, and as part of the Centenary of Canberra celebrations, planted a tree to mark the 25th Anniversary of Open Gardens Australia.

Then, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, as Colonel in Chief, hosted a reception for members of the Royal Australian Army Medical Corps and presented three Medical Corps medals.

In the evening, at the Gallery of Australian Design, Mr Bryce, as Competition Ambassador, announced the winners of the CAPITHETICAL Design Ideas Competition and Exhibition.
