Foundation Stone Ceremony; Gender in Defence and Security Leadership Conference afternoon tea; Afternoon tea to mark the visit of Lord and Lady Denman; Clontarf Foundation reception

On Tuesday 12 March 2013, at Capital Hill, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as guests of the ACT Chief Minister, Ms Katy Gallagher MLA, attended the Foundation Stone Ceremony, at which the Governor-General reviewed the parade and Mr Bryce recited Lady Denman’s words of 1913.

Afterwards, at the National Convention Centre, the Governor-General, as Commander-in-Chief, and guest of the Chief of Defence Force, General David Hurley AC DSC, attended an afternoon tea with participants of the Gender in Defence and Security Leadership Conference.

Later, at Government House, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce hosted an afternoon tea in support of the Centenary of Canberra and to mark the visit to Australia by Lord and Lady Denman.

In the evening, at Parliament House, the Governor-General, as Patron, and guest of the Chair, Mr Ross Kelly AM, attended a reception for the Clontarf Foundation.
