Governor-General attends AIATSIS International Women's Day event

The Governor-General celebrated the legacy of Australia's Indigenous women during an International Women's Day event at the Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies (AIATSIS) in Canberra.

Chair of AIATSIS, Professor Michael Dodson AM, met the Governor-General and introduced her to guests, including the Zimbabwean Co-Minister of State for National Healing, Reconciliation and Integration, Senator Sekai Holland.

After addressing guests, Ms Bryce presented AIATSIS staff member Mrs Pat Brady with the Shirley Ann Williams Award, which recognises an outstanding contribution and dedication to the Institute.
