Proclamation assuming the Administration of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia; Visit to National Gallery of Australia; Reception for ‘Values and Visions of Australia’s Governors-General’ seminar

On Saturday 23 February 2013, following the departure of the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO to undertake an official visit to the Republic of Korea, the proclamation assuming the Administration of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia was signed by the Governor of New South Wales, Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO.

Afterwards, at the National Gallery of Australia, Canberra, the Administrator, as guest of the Head of Learning, Ms Katie Russell, viewed the Toulouse Lautrec exhibition.

Later, at Government House, Canberra, the Administrator hosted a reception for participants of the ‘Values and Visions of Australia’s Governors-General’ seminar.

Earlier, at Seongnam Airbase, Seoul, the Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, commenced their official visit to the Republic of Korea and were met by the Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, His Excellency Mr Sam Gerovich; Korean First Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr Ahn Ho-young; Commander, 15th Special Activity Wing, Brigadier-General Hur Chang-ho; and Australian Defence Attaché, Captain Brett Dowsing RAN.
