Swearing-in Ceremony

At Government House in Canberra, the Governor-General conducted a swearing-in ceremony for Ministers and Parliamentary Secretaries. The Hon.Christopher Bowen MP was sworn in as Minister for Tertiary Education, Skills, Science and Research and Minister for Small Business; the Hon. Mark Butler MP was sworn in as Minister for Mental Health and Ageing, Minister for Social Inclusion and Minister for Housing and Homelessness; the Hon. Brendan O'Connor MP was sworn in as Minister for Immigration and Citizenship;the Hon. Mark Dreyfus QC MP was sworn in as Attorney-General and Minister for Emergency Management; the Hon. Jason Clare MP was sworn in as Cabinet Secretary, Minister for Home Affairs and Minister for Justice; the Hon. Dr Michael Kelly AM MP was sworn in as Minister for Defence Materiel; Mrs Yvette Maree D'Ath MP was sworn in as Parliamentary Secretary for Climate Change and Energy Efficiency; Ms Melissa Parke MP was sworn in as Parliamentary Secretary for Mental Health and Parliamentary Secretary for Homelessness and Social Housing; and Mr Kelvin Thomson MP was sworn in as Parliamentary Secretary for Trade.
