Launch of EOWA 2012 Australian Census of Women

The Governor-General launched the Equal Opportunity in the Workplace Agency (EOWA) 2012 Australian Census of Women at a luncheon in Sydney. The Census measures the number of women on board and executive positions in companies listed on the Australian Securities Exchange. The 2012 Census found that Australian women hold 12.3% of ASX200 directorships and 9.2% of ASX500 directorships. Ms Bryce reflected on the results of the Census and her career as an advocate for gender equity.
