Credentials
On Wednesday 21 November 2012, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO, received from His Excellency Mr Nadjib Riphat, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Hanggiro Setiabudi (Minister Counsellor) and Ms Dewi Anggraeni Wahjudati (Minister Counsellor). The Governor-General also received Mrs Nino Riphat.
Afterwards, the Governor-General received for His Excellency Mr Yoshitaka Akimoto, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of Japan. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Tetsuro Amano (Deputy Head of Mission), Captain Takuya Ito (Defence Attaché) and Ms Mariko Watanabe (Third Secretary). The Governor-General also received Mrs Kumiko Akimoto.
Later, the Governor-General received from His Excellency Mr Min Thein, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Tin Yu (Counsellor) and Mr San Yu Kyaw (Second Secretary). The Governor-General also received Mrs Khin Win.
Then, the Governor-General received from His Excellency Mr Charalampos Dafaranos, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Loukas Tsokos (Counsellor), Mrs Paraskevi Siaplaoura (Attaché) and Mr Konstantinos Koutsopoulos (Attaché). The Governor-General also received Mrs Evanthia Tourtsinaki
In the afternoon, the Governor-General received from Her Excellency Ms Titi Amina Pardi, Letters of Credence accrediting her as the Ambassador of the Republic of Suriname. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Terry Hafiz Shameem (Second Secretary).
Afterwards, the Governor-General hosted a Credentials Reception.
Later, the Governor-General received the Chief Scientist of Australia, Professor Ian Chubb AC.
