Pink Ribbon Breakfast; Sir Phillip Baxter Childcare Centre; Arthur Phillip High School; Badanami Centre for Indigenous Education
On Monday 22 October 2012, at the Four Seasons Hotel Sydney, the Governor-General, Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as guests of the Chief Executive Officer of Cancer Australia, Professor Helen Zorbas, attended the annual Pink Ribbon Breakfast at which the Governor-General gave an address.
Afterwards, at the Sir Phillip Baxter Childcare Centre, Woollarah, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce, in recognition of Children’s Week and as guests of the Chief Executive Officer of the Benevolent Society, Ms Anne Hollonds, attended a morning tea with children and grandparents.
Later, at Arthur Phillip High School, Parramatta, the Governor-General, as guest of the Principal, Ms Lynne Goodwin, met with students and teachers.
Then, at the University of Western Sydney, Bankstown, the Governor-General, as guest of the Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Janice Reid AM, met with Indigenous students at the Badanami Centre for Indigenous Education.
In the afternoon, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General, as Patron, received the Chair of the Breast Cancer Network Australia, Ms Marg O’Donnell.
