Mt Isa School of the Air; Winnunga Nimmityjah Aboriginal Health Service

On Thursday 9 August 2012, at Government House, the Governor-General, Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO received, Professor of Law of the Australian National University, Professor Margaret Thornton.

Afterwards, the Governor-General met with students from the Mt Isa School of the Air.

Later, at Narrabundah, the Governor-General, in recognition of the International Day of the World's Indigenous People and as guest of the Chief Executive Officer, Ms Julie Tongs OAM, visited the Winnunga Nimmityjah Aboriginal Health Service.

Then, at Government House, the Governor-General received the Executive Assistant to the Director of the National Gallery of Australia, Ms Hester Gascoigne.
