Meals on Wheels; Ninti One; Spastic Centres of South Australia

On Thursday 5 July 2012, at Calvary Hospital, North Adelaide, the Governor-General, Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO, met with Dr Mark Moore AM.

Afterwards, at the Meals on Wheels Happy Valley Kitchen, Adelaide, the Governor-General, as Patron and as guest of the National President of the Australian Meals on Wheels Association, Mr Ron Welsh, met with staff and volunteers, before visiting clients during the meal delivery service.

In the afternoon, at Ninti One, Hackney, the Governor-General, as guest of the Chair of Ninti One, Dr Tom Calma AO, attended a lunch with Ninti One staff and researchers, in recognition of NAIDOC.

Afterwards, at the Spastic Centres of South Australia Plympton Community Hub, Plympton, the Governor-General as guest of the President of the Spastic Centres of South Australia Board, Mrs Judith Worrall OAM, met with staff and clients.

Later the Governor-General was represented at Brisbane International Airport at the arrival in Australia of the President of the Republic of Nauru, His Excellency the Honourable Sprent Dabwido MP, by Brigadier Greg Bilton CSC ADC, Honorary Aide-de-Camp.
