Federal Executive Council; Dinner in Honour of HRH The Duke of Gloucester

On Thursday 24 May 2012, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Earlier, the Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE received the Prince and Grand Master of the Order of Malta His Most Eminent Highness Fra Matthew Festing OBE.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce received the Grand Prior of the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of Saint John of Jerusalem, His Royal Highness The Duke of Gloucester KG GCVO.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce hosted a dinner in honour of His Royal Highness The Duke of Gloucester.

Later, at Canberra Airport, the Governor-General was represented at the arrival in Australia of the President of the Portuguese Republic, His Excellency Aníbal António Cavaco Silva, by Mr Mark Fraser OAM, Deputy Official Secretary to the Governor-General.
