ANZAC Oration and Reception; Launch of the Biography of the Late the Honourable Roderick Meagher AO QC; Ceremonial Welcome and State Lunch with the Ruler of Dubai and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates

On Monday 23 April 2012, at Government House, Sydney, the Administrator of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO, received the Ambassador of the Republic of Hungary, Her Excellency Ms Anna Siko.

Afterwards, the Administrator and Sir Nicholas Shehadie AC OBE, with General Peter Cosgrove AC MC (Ret’d), hosted the ANZAC Oration followed by a reception.

In the afternoon, at the Office of the Governor, Sydney, the Administrator received the University of Sydney’s Secretary to Senate, Dr William Adams.

In the evening, at the Old Law School, Sydney, the Administrator and Sir Nicholas attended the Launch of the Biography of the late the Honourable Roderick Meagher AO QC.

Earlier, at Sea Palace, Dubai, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE attended a Ceremonial Welcome, and met with the Ruler of Dubai and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce, as guests of the Ruler of Dubai and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, attended a State Lunch held in their honour.
