Matildas Training Camp; Child Abuse Forum; Farewell call from the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China; Royal Life Saving Society of Australia; Malkara School
On Friday 10 September 2010, at the Australian Institute of Sport, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC, as guest of the Football Federation of Australia Head of Women’s Football, Ms Leeanne Grantham, watched the Matildas training camp and met with players.
Later, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, in recognition of National Child Protection Week, hosted a round table discussion on child protection.
Afterwards, the Governor-General received a farewell call from the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, His Excellency Mr Junsai Zhang and Madam Yin Guomei.
In the evening, the Governor-General, as Patron, and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE hosted a reception for participants of the Royal Life Saving Society of Australia’s National Summit on Drowning.
Earlier, Mr Bryce received the Dean of the Faculty of the College of Fine Arts, the University of New South Wales, Professor Ian Howard, accompanied by Ms Lucienne Fontanaz-Howard; Military Artist, Colonel Xing Jun Qin; and from the Luxun Academy of Fine Arts, Professor Wei Erchen; Associate Professor Fang Xu; Professor Zhang Peng; and Professor Ji Yunhui.
In the afternoon, in Garran, Mr Bryce, as Patron, attended the Malkara School Board meeting.
