On Tuesday 4 May 2010, at the Australian Defence Force Academy, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC, as Commander-in-Chief, and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, attended a morning tea with members of Australia's Federation Guard and their families in celebration of the Guard's tenth anniversary.

Later, the Governor-General, as Patron, and Mr Bryce, hosted a reception for the John James Memorial Foundation.
