On Tuesday 27 April 2010, at Government House, Perth, the Administrator of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, His Excellency Dr Ken Michael AC, received the High Commissioner for Singapore, His Excellency Mr Albert Chua.

Afterwards, at the Curtin University of Technology, Perth, the Administrator officiated at the installation ceremony of the new Chancellor, Dr Jim Gill AO.

In the Republic of Turkey, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE met with the Greek Orthodox Patriarch, His All Holiness Bartholomew.

Later, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce visited the Hagia Sofia, and the Blue Mosque.

In the evening, in Ankara, Republic of Turkey, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce attended a reception hosted in their honour by the Australian Ambassador to the Republic of Turkey, His Excellency Mr Peter Doyle, for embassy staff and Australian expatriates.
