On Tuesday 20 April 2010, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as guests of the Minister of State of the United Arab Emirates and Patron, Her Excellency Reem Ibrahim Al Hashimi, visited Dubai Cares.

Later, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce, as guests of Commander Joint Task Force, Major General John Cantwell AO, visited Australian service men and women at the Joint Task Force Headquarters. Earlier, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC sent the following message to Her Majesty the Queen: ???Michael and I join with the Australian people in extending to Your Majesty our best wishes and loyal and affectionate greetings for your birthday.'
