On Thursday 4 March 2010, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC received from Her Excellency Ms Maria Luisa Beatriz Lopez Gargallo, Letters of Credence accrediting her as the Ambassador of the United Mexican States. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Gilberto Limon (Minister), Mr Fernando Garcia-Robles (Second Secretary) and Mr Christian Clay (Second Secretary), Embassy of the United Mexican States. The Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE also received Mr Alberto Nunez.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received from Her Excellency Ms Jacqueline Nomhle Zwambila, Letters of Credence accrediting her as the Ambassador of the Republic of Zimbabwe. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Felix Nyamupinga (Counsellor), Mr Givemore Nyanzou (First Secretary), and Ms Pelagia Mbanda (Third Secretary), Embassy of the Republic of Zimbabwe. The Governor-General and Mr Bryce also received Mr Takunda Zwambila. Later, the Governor-General received from His Excellency Mr Antoine Munyakazi Juru, Letters of Commission, accrediting him as the High Commissioner for the Republic of Rwanda. The High Commissioner was accompanied by Mr Michael Roux (Honorary Consul). In the afternoon, the Governor-General received the Australian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Mr John Dauth LVO. Later, at the Royal Military College, Duntroon, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce met with participants of the Australian Defence Force Rehabilitation Program. In the evening, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce hosted a reception in honour of Her Excellency Ms Maria Luisa Beatriz Lopez Gargallo, Ambassador of the United Mexican States; Her Excellency Ms Jacqueline Nomhle Zwambila, Ambassador of the Republic of Zimbabwe; His Excellency Mr Antoine Munyakazi Juru, High Commissioner for the Republic of Rwanda; His Excellency Mr Raul Gangotena, Ambassador of the Republic of Ecuador; Her Excellency Mrs Maija L?hteenm?ki, Ambassador of the Republic of Finland; Her Excellency Ms Fauzia Nasreen, High Commissioner for the Islamic Republic of Pakistan; and His Excellency Mr Hoang Vinh Thanh, Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. Earlier, at Hawker Pacific, Sydney, the Governor-General was represented at the departure from Australia of the President of the Republic of Botswana, His Excellency Lieutenant General Seretse Khama Ian Khama, by Mr Mark Fraser OAM, Deputy Official Secretary to the Governor-General.
