On Thursday 18 February 2010, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC received Honorary Aides-de-Camp, Colonel William Monfries CSC ADC; Colonel Michael Miller RFD ADC; Colonel Stephen Alexander ADC; Captain Michael Hickey ADC RAN; Commander Gavin Baker ADC RAN; Commander Piers Chatterton ADC RAN; and Commander Ted Wynberg ADC RAN.

In the afternoon, at The Australian National University, Canberra, the Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE attended a ceremony at which the Governor-General officiated at the installation of the new Chancellor, Professor the Honourable Gareth Evans AO QC. In the evening, at the Gallery of Australian Design, Canberra, Mr Bryce, as Patron, attended the opening night of the Australian Institute of Architects' National Architecture Awards exhibition.
