On Saturday 13 February 2010, in the Australian Bravery Garden, Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE attended a service of remembrance for Australian Bravery and Gallantry Award recipients, at which the Governor-General presented the Bravery Medal and Dr Geoffrey Boyce National Youth Bravery Award to Mr Daniel Johnson BM.

In the evening, at the City Recital Hall, Sydney, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce attended a performance of ???Tognetti's Mozart' by the Australian Chamber Orchestra. Earlier, at Brisbane International Airport, the Governor-General was represented at the departure from Australia of the President of the Republic of Kiribati, His Excellency the Honourable Anote Tong MP, by Colonel Dennis Scanlan CSM RFD ADC, an Honorary Aide-de-Camp.
