On Monday 23 March 2009, at Bilpin, NSW, the Administrator Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO and Sir Nicholas Shehadie AC OBE visited the Mount Tomah Botanic Gardens where the Administrator opened the Lady Fairfax Walk in ???The Jungle??.

The Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE departed the Republic of Zambia on a State Visit to Botswana. Afterwards, at the Office of the President, Gaborone, the Governor-General was received by the President of the Republic of Botswana, His Excellency Lieutenant General Seretse Ian Khama. Later, at the Gaborone International Conference Centre, Gaborone, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce were guests of honour a State Luncheon hosted by the President of the Republic of Botswana, His Excellency Lieutenant General Seretse Ian Khama. In the evening, at the State Guest House, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce received Judge of the High Court of Botswana, Judge Unity Dow, accompanied by Dr Karl J Stahl.
