On Tuesday 10 February 2009, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC received from His Excellency Mr Mohamed Mael-Ainin, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Abdelkader Allouch (Minister Counsellor); Mr El Habib Bourane (Counsellor); and Mr Mohamed Bendemra (Attach?”, Administration and Finance) Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco. The Governor-General also received Mrs Samira Affane Aji.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received from His Excellency Mr Sounry Chum, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Eng Kimteng Ang (Counsellor); Colonel Vibol Mao (Military Attach?”); and Mr Sokphal Heng (Second Secretary) Embassy of the Kingdom of Cambodia. The Governor-General also received Mrs Chantheary Chum. Later, the Governor-General received from His Excellency Mr Mihai Stefan Stuparu, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of Romania. The Ambassador was accompanied by Ms Nadia Mihaela Ghiorghe (Third Secretary) Embassy of Romania. The Governor-General also received Mrs Cristina Stuparu. Then, the Governor-General received from His Excellency Mr David Daly, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador and Head of Delegation of the European Commission. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr John Richards (Counsellor); and Mr Paul Hope (Head of Administration) Embassy of the European Commission. The Governor-General also received Mrs Aideen Daly. In the afternoon, the Governor-General received from His Excellency Mr Willem Andreae, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of the Kingdom of The Netherlands. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Caro Lefevre (Defence Attach?”); and Ms Yolanda Beckers (Attach?”) Embassy of the Kingdom of The Netherlands.
