On Friday 5 October 2007, at the Sheraton Four Points Hotel, Sydney, the Administrator Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO opened the Judicial Conference of Australia 2007 Colloquium.

Later, at Dee Why RSL, NSW, the Administrator delivered the address at the 40th Anniversary Celebrations of Manly Warringah Pittwater Community Aid Service Inc. In The Kingdom of Belgium, at Egmont Palace, Their Excellencies, the Governor-General Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC and Mrs Marlena Jeffery attended a Ceremonial Welcome prior to a State luncheon hosted by Mr Didier Reynders, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance. In the afternoon, Their Excellencies toured the Genencor Biotech Laboratory at Bruges.
