On Tuesday 15 December 2020, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley travelled from Admiralty House, Sydney to Government House, Canberra.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received His Excellency, Mr Reiichiro Takahashi, Ambassador of Japan.

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted a lunch for the Heads of Mission who presented Credentials in 2020. Guests included: Ms Tebelo Bareki; Her Excellency Mrs Nineta Barbulescu and Mr Dan Barbulescu; Colonel Nudanai Buranasomphob; His Excellency Dr Joseph Coffie-Agoe and Mrs Ida Coffie-Agoe; Mrs Marie Helene Chavrimootoo; Her Excellency Ms Pernille Dahler Kardel and Mr Peter Francis Heinlein; Ms Katja Annika Karppinen; Ms Kathy Klugman; Her Excellency Ms Dorcas Kobela Makgato; Her Excellency Ms Satu Mattila-Budich; Mr Ian McConville; Her Excellency Mrs Marie Claire Monty; Her Excellency Ms Alicia Moral Revilla; His Excellency Mr Miguel Julian Palomino De La Gala; Her Excellency Mrs Dianela Pi and Mr Paolo Pedrazzi Scotecuazza; His Excellency Mr Ronald Recinos and Ms Rachel MacLennan; Her Excellency Ms Busadee Santipitaks; Mr Paul Singer MVO; His Excellency Mr Nguyen Tat Thanh and Ms Nguyen Tu Huyen; and His Excellency Mr Pedro Zwahlen.

Then, the Governor-General received the Honourable Will Hodgman, High Commissioner-designate to Singapore.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted a reception for Musica Viva’s 75th Anniversary.
